Red Bill-Like Things
Clybucca Red Bills (purple
swamp hens)
On Lake Burley Griffin, I
found lots of these water birds; some with red patches and others
with white patches. They even sounded like red bills but didn't
have the shiny blue chest or the white triangle under their tails.
Apparently, the birds with the white patches are eurasian coots.
