The NT exports live cattle from Darwin and they go on boats like the "Livestock Express". Cattle are mustered from the huge cattle stations all over the NT during the Dry and then taken by road train to Darwin. They then stay in a feed lot until they are ready to board ships bound for overseas markets. Indonesia is the biggest market and the Philippines is the second largest importer of NT live cattle. The Philippines has taken over 32,000 head so far this year.
